Day One

Caithness Textile Artists are a group of like minded crafty people who love to work with textiles. In 2012 it signed up to stitch on a panel for The Great Tapestry of Scotland.
This is our journey.

Valerie has been the instigator for our group to participate in this project. We decided it was only fair that she took the first stitch on our panel which depicts a Caithness School Room in 1851.

We have sent it home with Joan this week. This blog is to document our progress.

    An excellent enterprise!
    I hope you discover pride and enjoyment in your work, and companionship amongst your company. The blog is an great means of sharing news and progress; good move, Louise.

    I would like to offer my services in tidying the cotton reel drawer. Unfortunately, as I live in Cyprus I cannot. It is a shame as I am well qualified for the role, as Valerie can attest. She can also provide an explanation :)
